Give Peace a Chance

Story Behind the Artwork

It was created during a time when I was learning how to be still - not as an escape, but as an act of self-rebuilding. A period defined by quiet reflection, internal discipline, and the slow process of learning how to exist without constant motion or external validation.

Lennon emerged as a natural vessel for these ideas. His contemplative presence, emotional restraint, and commitment to inner truth reflected the state I was learning to cultivate: calm without passivity, softness without loss of conviction.

This work explores themes of:

Intentional slowness
Inner reconnection
Reconstruction of identity
Finding peace in the absence of pressure

Each mark is deliberate. The restraint in the composition, the subtle tension in his expression, and the careful rendering of fabric are all designed to evoke a grounded, meditative pause - a moment where listening replaces striving.

This piece was made from stillness, and it exists to honour it.
